How often should I tune my piano?
Most pianos benefit from tuning every 6–12 months. New pianos, or instruments played daily for practice and performance, may need more frequent care.
What areas do you cover?
I’m based in Eastbourne and regularly travel across East Sussex, Brighton, Hastings, Lewes, Bexhill, Kent, Surrey, and South London. Larger jobs further afield are possible—just ask.
Do you handle minor repairs and sticking keys?
Yes! From squeaky pedals to sticking keys, I offer repairs alongside tuning. Many small issues can be fixed during your appointment.
About me
Tomas Siroky – Piano Tuner & Technician
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father is also a musician, so I grew up surrounded by it. I picked up the violin at the age of six, and later went on to study at a classical conservatory in the Czech Republic, where I trained as a double bassist.
I spent years performing with orchestras, including the South Bohemian Opera, Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague and later with ensembles across Sussex—from the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra to Hastings Sinfonia.
My life has always been about making instruments sound their very best. I know how a single, well-cared-for instrument can fill a room with life—that’s the same dedication I now bring to every piano I tune and service.
After moving to the UK in 2013, I gained hands-on experience working in a piano music store and workshop, where I not only learned the fine craft of tuning, servicing, and repairing instruments from experienced technicians, but also how to safely handle and care for pianos during every stage of their life. In 2023, I launched PianoCheck.co.uk to offer careful, professional, and reliable piano care.
